Cambs Constabulary Visits NVGC By Air

The Cambridgeshire Police Helicopter visited Nene Valley Gliding Club on Saturday 28th June 2008, the purpose of the visit was for the Police pilots to meet NVGC, where our operations extended to and the dangers they may face with our winching operations. NVGC were also given a guided tour of the Police Helicopter to see at first hand the equipment used in fighting crime.

Due to their operational standing, it was not able for them to sample the delights of a winch launch but we did leave them an open invitation for the future.

Both NVGC and the Police team gained useful information about each others operation from the visit.
